Dylann Roofs sister busted with weapon, drugs after disturbing social media post
The sister of Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof was arrested Wednesday for bringing a knife to school, after making a posting on social media that she hoped classmates joining in the national anti-gun protests would be shot, according to published reports.
Morgan Roof, 18, was also caught with pepper spray and marijuana at A.C. Flora High School in, Columbia, South Carolina, authorities told WIS-TV.
A judge released Roof on a $5,000 bond but ordered her to steer clear of the school.
The younger Roof had said on Snapchat that she hoped classmates – who walked out of school during a national day of anti-gun violence protest – “get shot.”
“Your all walking out for the allowed time of 17min, they are letting you do this, nothing is gonna change what tf you think it’s gonna do?” she wrote. “I hope it’s a trap and y’all get shot.”
She added, “we know it’s fixing to be nothing but black people walkin’ out anyway.”
Her brother, avowed racist Dylann Roof, slaughtered nine people – all African Americans – inside the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church on June 17, 2015.
He was convicted in federal court of all counts and sentenced to death.
